Adopt a pet today!

As Forte Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, 100% of donations goes directly to animal care. In addition to ongoing boarding and other costs, they continually incur significant veterinary medical bills. ANY amount granted to them would be absolutely appreciated since Forte Animal Rescue survives solely on donations.

Four Legged Friends Foundation supports people and animals by educating the public on the positive mental and physical influences animals have on us, and by assisting animal-related organizations in the expansion of their own services and programs, including the training of assistance dogs, animal shelters and rescues, paying veterinary bills for low-income seniors, troubled teens, rescue dogs, pet therapy, and much more.

Pet Orphans Of Southern California is one of the oldest active humane organizations in the Greater Los Angeles area with a private shelter. The majority of the dogs and cats at Pet Orphans have been transferred from local city and county shelters and are anxiously awaiting a new home.

The
No Kill Advocacy Center is teaming up with Nathan Winograd to bring you
signed copies of the book that is being called "powerful and
inspirational," "ground-breaking," and "a must read for anyone who
cares about animals." Nominated as the Best Book by the Dog Writers
Association of America and winner of a Silver Medal from the
Independent Publishers Association, the book shatters the notion that
killing animals in U.S. shelters is an act of kindness.
You can purchase autographed and personalized copies of Redemption for $20.00 per book in the United States or $25.00 per book for international orders. (Shipping, tax and handling are included.)
Each book is autographed by Nathan Winograd and personalized to the person making the purchase. If you buy more than one copy, signed copies of a second or more books are simply signed and dated by the author or you can tell us how you want them signed (an instruction box allows you to send us a note when you make a purchase).
Proceeds from the sale of signed books benefit the lifesaving programs of the No Kill Advocacy Center.

An animal place of love, learning,

*No female dog or cat need have even a single litter. Veterinarians recommend spaying them before they come into heat, as a precaution against reproductive cancers. Puppies and kittens can be altered as early as 8 weeks of age. Cats should be spayed no later than the age of five months. Dogs should be spayed before six months of age. Spaying after the first heat can cost more.
*Male dogs and cats do not lose their masculinity when altered. They are happier, healthier, and better companions. They are less frustrated, less inclined to roam or run away, and will never develop prostate tumors. Male dogs and cats should be altered by 6 to 7 months of age, if not sooner.
*Cats and dogs do not get "fat and lazy" after altering. Obesity is caused by overfeeding and insufficient exercise.
*You will never regain the cost of your "purebred" dog if you breed her. The average cost of rearing a litter of puppies to an adoptable age of 8 to 12 weeks, along with the prenatal and post-natal veterinarian services, far exceed any profit you will earn.
*A dog or cat in heat or pregnant can be spayed. There is no reason to bring unwanted puppies and kittens into the world when eight out of ten pets are killed because there are no homes.
*If you illustrate the "miracle of birth" with a litter of kittens or puppies, you are lying to your children. What kind of miracle is it that condemns over 500,000 loving pets to death each year in California alone?
