Wagville, in conjunction with YAS Fitness Center in Silverlake, is inviting YAS members and the public to an animal massage class where massage, acupressure and TTouch techniques will be demonstrated. $10 suggested donation will go to Wagville Rescue, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that rescues dogs near the end of their stay at kill shelters and gives them a fun place to stay while they find them good homes. RSVP is optional at pam@buddhadog.com.

Puppy and Me is a pet store in Sherman Oaks, CA that obtains their dogs from large-scale, commercial breeding facilities in the Midwest (puppy mills). The breeding dogs are caged for most or all of their lives and bred repeatedly, often producing sickly puppies that are sold for large sums of money. Reputable, humane breeders do not sell to pet stores. Peaceful, storefront demonstrations have been taking place at Puppy and Me in hopes they will offer dogs from shelters and rescue groups instead.
